Step 1: Double click the email message with voting button to open it in message window.Step 2: click the Vote button in the Response group on the Message tab. You will be able track the responses on the meeting request by changing the response in the response field on the tracking page.

I send a message weekly to 100 people with 2 custom voting choices. The most recent, sent 5/27/08 is recording as the responses arrive, by date.
Note: In Outlook 2013, the voting message stays below the message header. If you need to edit your response, please check the Edit the response before sending option in the dialog box.
Step 3: In the drop down list, click one of response. The alternative method is to response the voting after opening the email message.
